1/ Is this prediction accurate?
AI is already replacing jobs in numbers.
Think about it, if a company can get away with 10 employees instead of 100, why would they hire more?

2/ Won't AI create new jobs?
What if AI is different than any previous invention?
What if AI does create new jobs but then trains itself to do those new jobs faster than humans?
AI will be a cheaper alternative than humans, any way you slice it.

3/ Is UBI a solution?
Sam Altman (founder of Open AI) certainly thinks so.
The most popular solution to a post-AI society seems to be the introduction of a Universal Basic Income (UBI). Essentially everyone gets a monthly stipend from the government, even without doing any work.

5/ Has UBI worked in the past?
But it's not all doom & gloom.
According to Scott Santens, UBI has always worked when implemented correctly. According to research data, it increases self-employment by a whopping 301% and reduces the crime rate by 42%.
I've been researching the idea of Unconditional Basic Income since 2013. Here's a list of findings I've compiled from various UBI experiments, unconditional cash transfer studies, and cash dividend research.

The best thing you can do is to upskill yourself & stay ahead of the curve.
Read up on all the new AI tools that are coming out and check out which skills are in high demand in the job market.
Learn how to use Chat GPT effectively, and learn at least the basics of prompting. Learn what’s one shot vs. few shot vs. chain of thought.
There are already a few high paying AI prompt engineering jobs on the market. More are on the way.
